Where this jar works best
Grain is bought on colour and re-ordered on freshness. A clear body answers the first; a closure that still seals after a month of daily opening answers the second. The two failures that end a repeat order are moisture and pantry insects, and both get in through the lid, not through the wall — which is why we spend the tooling budget on the rim and the ring rather than on a thicker base.
- Rice & black rice — white, brown and purple; 1–2.5 L family packs.
- Millet, oats, quinoa — fine grains pour from the 82 mm mouth without a funnel.
- Beans & pulses — red beans, mung beans, soybeans; a cup measure goes in and out.
- Mixed grain blends — eight-grain rice, congee mix, porridge mix; the contents are the artwork.
- Flour & baking staples — 1.5 L and above, with a printed scoop band.
Why the 82 mm mouth
Grain is measured, not poured. A cup or a scoop has to go in and come out without spilling, and 82 mm is the smallest opening that lets that happen with a normal kitchen measure. The flat shoulder above it carries the print, and the short lid keeps the proportions right — on a 1 L jar a tall closure makes the pack look like packaging instead of food.
Why the ring is molded into the lid
A loose gasket is a second part to buy, to stock and to forget on the line. We co-inject the TPE ring into the PP lid in one tool, so the two materials are welded and the ring cannot drop out or twist on the thread. Every shift a jar is capped and held at −0.06 MPa for 30 seconds; a lid that has lost its compression still screws down tight by hand, but it will not hold vacuum — and that is exactly the failure a buyer discovers three weeks later, in their own kitchen.
A grain jar is judged twice: on the shelf by whether the rice looks clean, and a month later by whether it still smells of rice.
Customization
Capacity and shoulder shape are open — 50 ml to 1.5 L is what the molds cover today, and a new size is a tooling project rather than a catalogue change. Lid colour matched to your Pantone reference, body in clear or tinted PET, 1–4 colour printing on the lid, and a printed sleeve, shrink band or label applied before packing.
Packing & shipping
60 pcs per carton, lids fitted so the ring is not distorted in transit. Carton size, pallet plan and container loading are confirmed against the exact size you order, and loading photos are sent before dispatch on every shipment.
