Where this jar works best
Dried goods are sold on what the customer can see, and they fail on what the customer cannot — moisture. A clear PET body answers the first; a lid that still seals after the third open-and-close answers the second. The same jar runs from 50 ml sample sizes on a gift shelf up to 1.5 L family packs, so one mold family covers a whole range instead of one size.
- Nuts & kernels — pistachios, almonds, cashews, walnuts. Nitrogen flush optional.
- Dried fruit — raisins, figs, dates, jujube; the seal keeps moisture in the fruit, not in the jar.
- Trail mix & snack blends — the clear body carries the color of the mix, so the label can stay quiet.
- Coffee, tea & spices — whole bean, loose leaf, and whole spices that lose aroma in a bag.
- Gift & hamper packs — 50–250 ml sizes, gold or colored lids, printed sleeves.
Why the 82 mm mouth
An 82 mm opening is wide enough for a scoop and for a hand, which matters when the packer fills by weight instead of by machine. It also leaves a flat shoulder wide enough for a printed band, and it keeps the lid short — a tall lid on a small jar reads as packaging, not as product. The 95 mm platform exists for the big volumes; below 1.5 L, 82 mm is the better proportion on a retail shelf.
Why the ring is molded into the lid
A separate gasket is a second part, a second supplier and a second thing that can be forgotten on the line. We co-inject the TPE ring into the PP lid in the same tool, so the two materials are welded together and the ring cannot fall out, twist, or be left out of a carton. Every shift we pull a jar, cap it and hold it under −0.06 MPa for 30 seconds; a lid that has lost its compression still clicks shut, but it will not hold the vacuum, which is exactly the failure the eye misses.
A dry fruit jar is judged twice: once in the shop, by how the goods look through it, and once at home, three weeks later, by whether they still crunch.
Customization
Body size and shoulder shape are open — the 50 ml to 1.5 L range above is what the molds cover today, and a new size is a tooling project rather than a catalog change. Lid color matched to your Pantone reference, body in clear or tinted PET, 1–4 color printing on the lid, and a printed sleeve, shrink band or label applied before packing.
Packing & shipping
60 pcs per carton, lids fitted on the jar so the ring is not distorted in transit. Carton size, pallet plan and container loading are confirmed against the exact size you order, and loading photos are sent before dispatch on every shipment.
